MultiRoom Audio

Multiroom Audio allows you to be able to listen to different music in different rooms – or in fact, the same music in multiple rooms. The choice is yours. For example, you could put a DVD on in the living room and have it playing in both the dining room and the kitchen. Add to this an audio system you could play your favourite album in your bedroom and have it also play while you take a bath.  This could mean you listening to relaxing sounds in the living room, while your young one is lulled to sleep with their favourite audiobook in the nursery. Or, when you’re entertaining you can make sure the party never skips a beat by having the same music playing in the kitchen, lounge, dining room and on the terrace.

  • Listen to your entire music collection anywhere in your home
  • Play the same music in every room, or different music in different rooms, easily controlled from your app
  • Stream from your favourite online services like Spotify
  • Beef up your TV’s sound without trailing wires

Multi room audio installation

Multi Room Audio brings high fidelity sound to every room of your home, with your choice of music source, such as Pen drive, Digital Radio or DVD. Each room will bring the music you want, at the volume you want, independently of the other rooms. All this from one high quality central system, with no loss of sound quality. Cables and wiring are normally hidden into walls, speakers are wall or ceiling mounted, keypad can be remote or recessed into the wall.

How do multi-room audio systems work?

Multi-room audio systems work one of two ways: They either create their own mesh network or utilize your home’s Wi-Fi.

Multi-room speakers of certain brands form a mesh network. Once one of its speakers connects to your internet, all of the speakers in your home then create their own internal network. This is typically more reliable than connecting each speaker to your Wi-Fi individually.

Most brand use a closed mesh network for example, which initially connects to your home Wi-Fi, but then creates its own network, so you’re not using your own Wi-Fi when using it. Other companies such as Bose and Denon use their own mesh networks too, but also add Bluetooth into the mix, making them more versatile
